Director NA Marketing

Job Summary: This position is responsible for the creation and execution of the North American marketing strategy and related programs to generate sales pipeline in the region, and ensuring that the Global Marketing strategy is mapped accordingly across North America. The Director of NA Marketing will be responsible for driving these various marketing activities in the region and will be measured against its results. This position will consider and leverage our partner ecosystem which is a key part of our strategy.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate global marketing campaigns from inception to completion.
  • Work closely with all Arcserve’s North American teams and more specifically: Territory Account Managers, Corporate Account Managers, Partner Account Managers, the Renewal Team and global colleagues to set and execute impactful marketing activities.
  • Accountability and mapping to our Global Marketing teams to ensure a global marketing consistency of messaging, branding and go to market sales motions.
  • Supervise and manage her/his field marketing managers.
  • Develop and maintain strong systems reporting and campaign capabilities and partners with marketing leadership to report on the effectiveness of acquisition programs based on established metrics and KPIs; provide/update recurring reports and analyze trends.
  • Manages strategic marketing priorities and projects, including developing and/or nurturing each markets’ local brand(s), as well as effective communication of each market’s brand positioning, values, services and expertise
  • Create processes to ensure timely and consistent communication of programs and campaigns to Arcserve’s partners via the online portal, newsletters, e-mail and other vehicles as appropriate.
  • Create and execute marketing strategies that facilitate the recruitment and enablement of new partners, and consequent growth in the number of net-new customers.
  • Track and monitor progress of projects; ensure timely completion and adherence to deadlines.
  • Meets regularly with direct reports to set goals, mentor, provide training opportunities and monitor progress toward goals; assists in defining career goals and provides continual feedback including performance appraisals
  • Project manage all North America industry events from start to finish.
  • Drive and maintain the Global Arcserve customer reference program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • 2-3 Direct Reports
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Required Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ten plus years of related job experience in a marketing role
Preferred Job Qualifications:
  • Person has worked extensively in the North American region distribution and channel marketing spaces
  • Expertise in lead generation, including measured marketing and the demand generation process
  • Demonstrated ability to marshal resources, ensure communication, and build teamwork across time zones and cultures
  • Operational competencies in driving the different marketing techniques needed to develop demand for our offerings
  • Demonstrated knowledge about the North American distributor and reseller channel, including an understanding of the roles of corporate, national and regional resellers and systems integrators
  • Experience working successfully with alliance partners on shared go-to-market strategies that support relationship growth and mutual benefits
  • Successful track record of creating and managing programs to accelerate revenue growth through the channel via partner marketing incentives and programs
  • Proven abilities in strategic planning, program development/management, high-level relationship building, and spiff programs
  • Requires a high degree of professionalism, team leadership, excellent communication skills both internally and with partners, as well as attention to the details behind the larger vision
  • Demonstrated ability to execute on multiple projects and excel in a fast-paced, results-oriented, global work environment
  • Experience with (or oversight of) electronic marketing, social media, communications and events, including trade shows and user conferences
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to take initiative/self-motivated
